Please forgive me as I am new to this whole Vonage mess. I looked up this topic before & the topic is too old to reply to.
I get the Lines Busy O106 message when trying to call to the UK. I have no idea how to fix it, what to look for etc........
If anyone is willing to help me, I would appreciate it. We have had Vonage for 2 years now & the time I need to use the long distance ......I can't.
Thank you |

let me see if i can take a swing at this.
what numbers are you dialing exactly.
when i call internationally, i usually dial the following sequence:
011 + 2 digit country code (i.e. 44) + area code without the zero + phone number
So if you are dialing a london number it would be
011+ 44 + 20 + 7433 3330
This was a sample number from a website. Although they list the phone number as : +44 (0)20 7433 3330 we do not dial the 0 before the area code when calling from the states.
The only other option would be that you have international calls blocked which could also explain this.
Hope this helps,

I am dialing the number correctly. Thank you.
I also checked Vonage to make sure my International calling was enabled.
When I tried again this morning I got a funny busy noise. Then after a few times with that it went back to the Lines are busy O106 message again.
I've call UK before so why can't I now??
THnak you. |

I apologize if I offended you with the dialing instructions. I have read a number of posts earlier where that was the main issue.
I can only refer you to higher levels of vonage to deal with this.
All I can think of is that we have a limited number of lines available to us to call there and they might be occupied which is unfortunate if that is the case.
sorry i can't be of much more help.
it's disconcerting to hear that it worked before... |

I try calling NJ and get a busy signal. Is something wrong when dialing to Jersey? I call everywhere else fine.
