Wish List: Vonage WiFi Phone for an EXISTING Number

It would be ideal if I could get a dual mode mobile phone (one for regular mobile calling; one for Wifi Vonage calling) that is tied to my main Vonage number.

That way, I can leave my main Vonage phone at home and have a mobile Vonage phone where I can receive/make calls while on the road (i.e. I do NOT want to sign up for another Vonage account just for Wifi calling).

Web-based login for WiFi hotspots / automatic connection to open networks would be a key element of such a device.

Is such a device in the works by any chance?

That's a GREAT idea, however, it appears that Vonage has decided to throw the WiFi phone concept under the bus. I have expressed my opinion that the discontinuance of the WiFi phones is a terrible mistake in the following forums.

Please write Vonage and tell them that you think the discontinuance of the WiFi phones is a mistake. Maybe enough voices can change their minds.

P.S. Vonage used to sell the UTStarcom F1000. I bought one and I am EXTREMELY happy with its performance and utility.
