When the V-Phone is plugged in, the name for the drive should be the MAC address. If it shows up as just your CD-ROM (let's exclude the removeable disk part) and the MAC isn't there as the name, try changing the drive letters associated with the removeable disk it creates to something in the middle of the alphabet or at the end (may be a conflict with your CD-ROM). You can also setup an ethereal (wireshark) trace and filter for http. You will see a request from your device that has the MAC Address in it. |

There's an easier way than renaming your drives and using wireshark (ethereal).
Go to your Control Panel and access the Adminstrative Tools.
In that window you should see a panel on the left side with an entry for "Storage" expand that if needed and then click on "Disk Management". Doing that will populate a list on the right side with all your active disks. You should be able to see a CD-Drive icon with a name that starts AA that should be your mac address. |
