One other option with the Standalone TiVo is to use the same router you are using for your Vonage phone adapter and eliminate the need for a phone line. I have 3 TiVos setup on my network this way. Since all is well for you now, no need to change, but if you do have phone problems (as others have), you might consider adding a USB NIC (unless it is a DirectTV model which does not support USB). Here is how to do it.
