all, a little background. sinc i moved here to atlanta, i have had Vonage and comcast. i had comcast first then Vonage a few months later.
up until 3 months or so ago, i started getting choppy conversations and delay in conversations.. i would reset the equipment and then all would seem fine for a short time then start over again. equipment:
a uniden 5ghz cordless system (no wired phones) linksys wrt 600n (and a 750GB drive) pap2 (had the rtp31p2 ever since i had vonage[it came in tghe box from Vonage when i signed up]. just hooked up the pap2 about 2 months ago) linksys befcmu10 v4 . i have had this modem since i had comcast service, so about 4+ years. (should i get a newer modem?) i have two linksys cameras on the network. (would these cause issues when they are not active?)
i am signed up for the highest speed comcast offers residential customers.

right now as of this writing and how i have always had my setup: cable modem->wrt00n router->pap2. there is no other way to set this up. the QoS setting on the linksys does not seem to have any effect on the phones issue.
internet and cable tv are just fine. my speeds, they are all over the place. i am unable to try another speed test as it seems as of this writing i have hit the limit of speeds tests. but the main issues that i saw over the speed tests were jitter and Qos. jitter was in the RED and QoS would fluctuate between red and yellow. low 30s to as high as 90s.
ill post a test as soon as im able but does anyone have any comments? anyone experiencing this issue?
also, my caller ID sometimes does not show the proper info. sometimes it does.. most times it shows unknown. this may or may not be an issue but just thought i would throw it out there.
