I have the Vtech IP 8100 phone system with two cordless phones. I cannot get my voicemail indicator light to work on either of the phones or on the adapter itself. Any suggestions? |

Try to disable / enable the Voicemail settings in your online Account........Try to reboot the Vonage device |

I am using an RTP300 and a VT2442. I find I have to carefully exit voicemail by going completely through all the exit prompts before hanging up. Make sure the system says good bye before hanging up, otherwise the voicemail indicator will remain lit.
You can't just delete the message and hang up.
Let me know if that fixes your problem.

I dont know if this is specifically the same thing you are going thru, but my VMI has been turned on for 2 weeks now. Can not get it shut off.
I use to work for tech support. Called one of my fellow old co workers, they told me they have been dealing with this for 2 weeks. Not sure what the problem is. When she tried to turn off my voice mail waiting indicator she received the following - Device does not have current registration
· Device is powered OFF
· Device is not processing Notifys
· A firewall on the customers network is blocking Notify and/or SIP Packets
My device is powered on, it is not behind a firewall.. I have already tried turning the voicemail off, power cycled device, turned voicemail back on, power cycled device...
still no go.. I think Vonage is having issues with the registration not processing notifys properly, so the device doesnt know when there are no voicemails.... |

if they are, then it's a localized problem. no problems with vm coming on and turning off after i properly delete the vm. |

Thanks for the suggestions but I still can't get the indicator to light up with new voice mails. I guess other people have had this same problem both with no indicator and an indicator that stays lit no matter what, so perhaps it's the VTech system or it's just a bug Vonage hasn't figured out yet. |
