Post the details that are outlined in the sticky message at the top of the forum. Are you going directly from your modem to the device? Do you have a computer hooked up to the device as well? Can you access the internet through the Vonage router if that is your primary router? Do you have cable or dsl? Lots of people here are glad to help but we need more detailed info. |

Ihave a computer hooked up to my vonage adapter, and I have access to the internet through a cable modem. I do not have a router in the mix. I have tried all of the suggestions I have seen as far as powering everything down, waiting 10 minutes then powering everything up again, pushing in the reset button for 30 to 60 seconds, etc. Nothing helps. I cannot get the phone to work. It is very frustrating. Do you need more info to help me?

So the device you have is a router a phone adapter, it only has a port for one computer. Can you access the internet through the Vonage adapter or only when you have your computer hooked up directly to the cable modem? Some isps remember the Mac address of the connected device. It is possible that Charter is not recognizing the Vonage router. When you power cycle, are you letting the cable modem power up and then turning on the Vonage adapter? Have you tried the MAC cloning feature in the settings on the router? Let us know. |

I am able to access the internet, just not use of my phone. I always let my modem power up first. I think I need a different, new adapter, but from where. If I try to buy one from Vonage online, it is always bundled with service, which i already have!!

Well, if you are able to access the internet through the Vonage router/adapter then it isn't an issue with your isp. You must have a bum adapter. You should send it back if it is new. |

It is refurbished, not new. It was supposedly "lost" in shipping, because it was nowhere to be found, after tracking said it had been "delivered". So I called and complained, and another "Refurbished" adapter should be arriving within 10 days. But in the meantime, I have no phone service! Any suggestions. Do you know of anywhere selling adapters for retail?

Well, it's new to you and that's the important part. That ****. I'm sure if you complained to the right people, like the retention department, you could get your adapter shipped faster than that. Ten days seems like a long time to wait for a new adapter, specially for a new customer whose first one doesn't work. You can buy them retail but most places only sell the standalone phone adapters, which means you would need a separate router to use Vonage and the internet at the same time. I would call and threaten to cancel, that should get you an adapter faster. Also, you might want to ask about our 30 day trial period since you haven't been able to actually test the service yet. Good Luck! |

I am having the exact same problem with the exact same router. I have internet access, but have a flashing power light (1 blink at a time) and NO phone service. Very frustrated from having tried to contact Vonage customer service 4 times, waiting over a half hour and having to give up, then FINALLY getting through after 51 minutes only to talk to a foreign person I could hardly understand. What do I have to do to get this issue resolved asap? I've been without a phone now for over 48 hours and no remedy in sight! |

Actually my situation has been remedied. Vonage customer service was actually very helpful. My correct phone number had to be "coded-in" on their end of the system. Once that was done, everything was fine. You just need a way, such as a celll phone to talk with them while the problem is resolveds. Good Luck.
