Power Triple (3) Blinks - Green VT2142 is obtaining configuration from Vonage
Power Four (4) Blinks - Green VT2142 is registering with Vonage
Power On - Green Device is plugged in.

i'm in the Philippines and trying out this vt2142 thing that was sent to me by a relative there in the us and i cant seem to make it work. i have dsl connection, a modem. i cant access the pppoe site. cant access the internet, and cant use the phone either. pls. help

What are the directions from the DSL provider for setting up with your computer. Can you get on the internet (without the VT2142)?

they (dsl provider) said that i do not have to register the device with them but they wont give me technical assistance, i would just have to simply install the device and that's it. but that's not it coz i couldn't make the device work i'm getting frustrated and even told the one who gave it to me to just cancel the subscription with Vonage coz it doesn't seem to work outside the US. my connection speed is 384kbps and it says on the package that i only need 90 to get it going. what else should i do. the askvonage thingy is not helphul either

So you just plug in your computer, no signon, no password, so settings to be changed . . .no one set it up it just works?

Mine has been fixed as well, but I have no idea how it happened. I never received a return call as promised but about 2 hours after I posted, suddenly my phone started working again (and the flashing stopped). We have been very pleased so far with our Vonage, but this is our first encounter with customer service and it leaves a lot to be desired based on this experience. Hope they get better!

no sign-in or password, i just turn on the pc and modem and i can use the internet.

Then I would not use the PPPOE setting, use the DHCP setting.
