I received my January 1st, 2008 bill and it looks like Vonage is still billing at 6%? |

My bill of January 7 correctly charged the GST at 5%. |

Apparently according to the rules, if the bill is issued in December, even if it is for January's service, they had to charge the GST. However it doesnt mean they keep it, it still goes to the government. I had this same complaint with my cable bill. |

It only makes sense if you were charged for services in December that you would pay the 6% gst and not the 5%.
My cable company charges me a month in advance, so I am sure I paid an extra 3 or 5 cents to the government. |

I was billed for 6% on the 2nd. I phoned them up on the 9th and they credited my account for the 1% difference. the idiot I talked to last night sounded like he didn't know the GST went down. my cable guys charged me 5% like they were supposed to. |
