I called up tech support and they ironed it all out.

I would ask for a replacement router while you are still in your trial period. You will probably have much better luck during this time. Down the road, you may want to add a line. In your last post, I assume you meant that tech support ironed out the caller id issue, correct? Happy Calling!! |

On a lark, I changed to phone port 2 and still had the hiss. So I changed back to phone port 1, and the hiss that has been always there for local calls is now gone.
Go figure! |

That's a weird one. Maybe a cable issue that cleared up when you moved it back and forth? |

Yeah, Makes no sense. I thought of that and if it comes back I am changing the phone cable. |
