I recently bought the Vonage DECT 6.0 Whole House solution and I must say that I am quite pleased with it. I read that in addition to the 3 headsets that it comes with that you can add an additional one for a total of 4. I have searched every where find where to buy the additional headset. Does anyone know where this would be available?

Thanks!!

Well, I've been battling with Vonage's email support staff and no one seems to know what I am talking about. I don't think they understand their product line since I have been given many off the wall suggestions as to how to find an extra handset for this phone system. I've been told to go to Dlink's website to get it. What!?!?! Are they kidding me. Dlink does not make cordless phones.

I have given up on the email support. I'm sure others on here have come across this system by now. Has no one inquired or tried to find an extra handset for it?

Thanks for any help that anyone can give me!!!!

Thanks for trying to help, but I'm starting to believe that it just doesn't exist. Vonage's help has not been much help, they still can't seem to realize that this thing is branded from top to bottom as Vonage (the logo is everywhere on the phones, bases, etc.) but no one there knows anything about this system or accessories that go with it.

I paid 80 with and 80 dollar rebate so it was free, and I've even thought about buying another set and parting it out (selling the adapter and 2 phones) on ebay or something, but I don't think that I can get the rebate again. When I submitted my rebate it wanted to know Vonage account info and I have to keep service for 60 days to get the rebate.

Hopefully they will put the add-on on the market soon. We can get by with 3 handsets, but the extra would be about right to have phones where we want them in the house...

Most probably you can get it from uniden. Chck their contact page at http://www.unidendirect.com/contact.cfm

ed56,

Thanks for you help, but I'm curious why you think Uniden would carry this phone. I have looked at their product page and none of the handsets look exactly like this phone and I could not find any DECT 6.0 phones listed. I may go ahead and contact them just to see...

Because I think Uniden makes this phone.

If you are looking for something that matches - you can take a look at the FCCID of the handset, usually located under the battery. That will be the manufacturer's number.

If you take that number and go to: https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm you will be able to find hte "generic" equivalent of this unit (just put in the first three digits on top, then the rest of the number - leave everything else blank).

You can then go and buy that extra handset - or check on ebay.

Wrong, this phone is not manufactured by Uniden. After checking the FCC code behind the handset company who manufactures the phone is CCT Tech International. Just click or copy and paste this link https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=413388 and open up User Manual. Guess who is the biggest customer for this company; GE (General Electric). If you check GE phones from this link http://www.home-electronics.net/ge/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=2 and look at their manuals most of them are identical with Vonage's user manual. I think I saw some of the GE DECT handsets at Bestbuy so maybe I might buy and try one to see if it works with the Vonage base.

Thank you for your digging yildirim74. I really had my doubts about it being a Uniden.

Please let me know what you find out, but I still would like to find another one to match this set. I guess I'm weird like that. I'm just really suprised that no one sells the accessory handset for this!
