Big pain for me right now. We are using RTP 300 Linksys Voip box for our Vonage service.

A few days back we shifted our offices and since then we cannot make any calls from our Voip phone. We can however receive calls on the same phone.

When i try to make any call, i keep hearing the busy tone.

Can anyone please help me.

Thank you.

Please post the technical details listed in the sticky message at the top of the forum.

Have you tried a different telephone? Are there any cordless phones involved?

We are in India.
We are using Vonage service.
We have a DSL line.
We are using Linksys RTP 300 Voip box.
Our setup is
Ethernet port -> ethernet port of Linksys box, and a panasonic wireless phone connected to the phone1 line on the linksys box.

We are using a Wireless-G Broadband Router from Linksys. Do i need to open any particular port for the Voip service ?

Did you have the linksys Wirelss G router in the previous configuration (your old office)?

What model and version of Wireless G do you have? Have you updated the firmware on it?

Yes, we had a linksys Wireless G router...and we are still using it.
Its WRT54G v3.1

firmware is v4.00.7
Not sure if this is the updated one.

Although your verison of firmware is NOT the newest one, ther is no indication that it is the problem (subsequent patchs) as follows:

Last Firmware Version: 4.21.1
__________________________________________________________________________
Firmware 4.21.1
- Resolves issue with L2TP connection
- Resolves issue with Linux kernel vulnerability
- Resolves issue with UPnP
- Resolves issue with Access Restriction
- Resolves UPnP vulnerability reported by SANE
- Resolves issue with filter name
- Resolves issue where service name for PPPoE cannot be added
- Resolves issue with detecting UHP modems
- Resolves issue where DynDNS Custom and Static accounts cannot be used
- Resolves issue with WEP passphrase not recognizing spaces

Firmware 4.20.7
- Resolved issue with SecureEasySetup button delay
- Resolved issue with SecureEasySetup overwritting current wireless settings
- Resolved issue with not being able to disable SecureEasySetup button
- Resolved issue with Diag light being constantly lit after upgrading to 4.20.6 on v.1 hardware
- Resolved issue with iDefense security vulnerability
- Resolved issue with L2TP disconnect
- Resolved issue with SecureEastsetup long button push not resetting wireless settings

Firmware 4.20.6
- Resolve issues with setup wizard
- Updated wireless security menu
- Resolve issues with port based QoS

Other than a hard rest to your Vonage device, this may be a fix that Vonage will need to determine.

Your test results are awful- high download pause, overall high round trip time, and 100% packet loss on the downlink. Try plugging a wired computer directly into an RTP300 LAN port and repeat the test. If it still looks bad, remove the RTP300, plug the computer directly into the DSL ethernet port, and repeat again.
