When i call people i will get a busy signal, even though there not on the phone. Also if i call from a cell phone to a Vonage number, it will say system can't find him. I use my cell phone to call the number Vonage got a busy call from, and it goes through, but Vonage doesn't. I wait ten minutes and it works. Does Vonage have enough capacity on there network? Sure i save money, but if i cant make a call, occasionly its not worth it. |

This is probably a problem with your Vonage device or your internet connection, not with the capacity of vonage's network.
I use 2 Vonage lines at home and one is fairly high use as I use it for work and I never have problems like this.
I would be interested to hear what others think, but I've never seen something like this on any recurring basis. |

I agree, though a suppose there could be a regional issue of some sort with the Vonage network. In any case, if the forum Voip speed test doesn't show anything interesting, then it's probably something that only Vonage tech support can work, at least for starters. |

I will venture a guess here, and since you didn't say how your network is set up, it is a bit of a wild guess. Anyway, if your Vonage device is behind your router, my guess is that it is a NAT issue. Since you did say you make an "occasional" call. What I am guessing is happening is since there is little/rare activity (incoming/outgoing calls) your router "forgets" that the device is there. A call to tech support, and them either making some adjustments to NAT Keep alive settings, or having your device register more often, or changes to your STUN settings, should improve things. |
