Post subject: Enabling QoS on Actiontec DSL modem
I have been using
Vonage
for almost two years. For the most part it has worked
great
and I have been very satisfied. This forum has been a wonderful source of help and information. In fact, I have been reading posts about QoS and am wondering if I should have it enabled on my system. If so, how?
I have DSL from Qwest, using an Actiontec Model GT701R DSL modem and a Motorola VT1005V adapter for my
Vonage
service. My physical configuration is:
Phone line -> DSL modem ->
Vonage
TA -> ethernet switch -> computers.
In browsing the advanced setup configuration for the DSL modem, I found this page to enable QoS. I posted the screen-shot here:

What are the proper parameters to enter here, and will that actually improve the performance of my
Vonage
system?
