hello
i just got my device and everything hooked up . but every time i try to make call it rings once then i hear nothing . also if someone call me i did the same it rings and once i pick up the phone i hear nothing . but i notice somthing once i pick up the handset the internet light goes away . and if i put it back the light goes bake to solid orange is that normal . or i have somthing wrong . thanks

What type of equipment do you have?

What are your results on the Voip test in this forum?

What is your Internet provider?

equipment : motorola VT2142-VD
Voip test? what is that
i have 3com ADSL as internet provider .
i called the customer serivce and i did turn everything on and off and the reset it . but i still have the same problem once i call and the other part pick up the hand set the internet light itself went off and i hear nothing . by the way i have the inernet light on my vovage is orange and all the other lights are green is that normal .

That is a bit beyond me with the color of lights as I have a Linksys Vonage router. My lights are all blue.

Hopefully someone here helps.

Look for the Voip line test tool here and test your Internet connection and post your results here. That could tell us alot....

On my VT2142-VD, the ethernet light is orange and the internet light is green
