Just like Vonage has gone after ISPs who have blocked their services, I think it is time consumers play the game against Vonage and FORCE Vonage to open their network to inbound SIP traffic.
You have no idea how many of your friends would benefit by you having an OPEN SIP ADDRESS and they could then call you FREE from an IP phone or softphone in ANY PART OF THE WORLD!
Vonage is INTENTIONALLY BLOCKING your ability to receive these types of calls, and there is no real justification for doing so other than they share in "settlement fees" every time your PSTN number is called,, and want to ensure that as a future revenue stream as well.
Don't think FREE INTERNATIONAL calling it is true, without a monthly fee?
Why don't you have a look at voxalot.com, or sipbroker.com and see the whole world that Vonage forces you to miss out on.
