I did it.
But then, MOST important was that I followed PDHenry's instructions (Hey, PD, did you ever live in Haddonfield?). I never would have been able to figure that out on my own, PD, so I'm most appreciative of the clear instructions.
The new, WRTP54G never worked despite various configurations so now I have an extra router . I'm using the RTP300. After configuring it online, and coming up with the successful hookup ( Modem>Linksys Wireless>Vonage RTp300 (via ethernet) I hit the reset button, and the light for the telephone port went on and, VOILA! I had a dial tone!
Thanks for this thread! |

In the top section, select "Enable," set "Upstream Bandwidth" to "Manual" and enter a value around 90% of your measured upstream bandwidth (such as you'd measure here) and in the "Device Priority" section, enter the MAC address of the Vonage device, give it a Device Name something like "Vonage" and set its priority to "Highest".
The MAC address of the Vonage box is printed on the device. . | THANKS PD |
