This stinks! COX cable is really poor in quality and customer service.
We barely get any of the channels we used to (w/ Comcast) so we have to pay more for nearly every channel. Then when I called COX to find out about adding telephone service to our account, I was told (by someone who just learned English the day before) that because the account is in my hubby's name, that I would have to get his permission to call, (for fear that I would make "unauthorized" changes!) WHAT???? I'm sorry when did we return to the 1950's and I need "permission" to do anything???
Man, this really s**ks, we just moved and it seems that nearly every service we have is very lame: Vonage, Cox, the local trash company, the local post office |

Have faith in human nature. I do not know what city you are in, but
my service in Las Vegas works when I was there last week.. Cox is my internet provider. |

Here in Phoenix AZ, Cox is just as bad. I used to get basic cable tv free with my internet connection. But since the digital TV switch happened, they wanted an extra $40/month after fees for basic cable. And reliability has been less then perfect, Be trying to do something on the internet or even watch TV (When I still had it) and it will just cut out. You call up tech support about it, they have you go through a long list of checking this and resetting that. Been through it so many times I have it memorized. And after that, they say "Looks like a problem in your area. We will have to schedule a technician to look at it." And if you don't have the insurance on your wiring, expect a $65 charge tacked onto your next bill for the tech to show up and find that someone disconnected the cable to your home inside their box at the street. |
