Alright I am seriously getting flustered with Vonage. Every once in awhile i get swarmed with problems. Dropped calls, infrequent speech, phone line not working. The works!
Now my question is this. Basically, I have no damn phone! I have the Motorola VT2142, the power light is on, the internet and ethernet lights are on, but none of the "phone" lights are on. I only have 1 line and i haven't touched the device at all.
I tried rebooting the device, I tried rebooting the modem, device, computer. Still nothing. I also tried unplugging the phone line, which is hardwired, and i plugged in a phone directly to the device. Still nothing. I'm getting really frustrated about this damn situation. I have been without the phone for about 6 hours now. Every time i pick up a phone a voice says "this phone cannot connect with the Vonage settings" Now that voice is starting to get on my nerves to. Can anyone actually help me out here?! I can't even call tech support because i cant use the phone!

18hrs and counting. No phone service, still states cant link to Vonage network. Cant get through to customer service on my cell phone, I keep getting disconnected. But reading the forum, it appears its a waste of my time to call anyways. Its nice to have such a reliable service..lol..Thank God I dont need to call 911.. I think Vonage should issue everyone a free months service. THey dont even have the common sense to issue a statement on their web site about a nation wide tech problem? |

If you are in the states, then there is a problem. Here in Canada I don't have a problem. |

It's not just in the States that the problem exists. I'm in Canada, and I've been having this issue for about 14 hours now.
There is a statement if you log in to your dashboard, at the right of the front page when you log in. It's not much of one, granted, but it still states they're aware of a tech issue and are working on it. |

My mother called me about 30 minutes ago, the call went right to voice mail, and the phone rang once. I could call her back, so not sure if it is happening all the time or not. |
