Post subject: service outage
My service stopped on Saturday night and has yet to be restored. I wish
Vonage
had better dialog with its customers. Maybe sending mass e-mail alerting its customers, region by region, that service has been restored and to reboot. Is that so hard.
I also agree that a snow storm in the north-east shouldn't interrupt my service here in Central Florida. Isn't
Vonage
a de-centralized service???
Just my two cents.
waiting in Florida...

Glade your up and running ... mine are still down. They ring but when answered they go dead.

Post subject: You are still out in Clearlake?
I had to reset the phone adapter with a small screwdriver, stuck in the small hole on the back of the adapter. Tried rebooting whole system twice, then found that small reset hole due to finally an email message from
Vonage
service this afternoon around 430pm. They said that resetting instead of rebooting, along with their engineers clearing up the technical issues on their end would get my service up this evening...
It worked this time on my end. Had been doing that same thing all weekend, so I guess in Pasadena they finally cleared it up..

Post subject: Check your call forwarding (VonageTalk issue)
I hadn't turned on SimulRing, but after I installed VonageTalk on my laptop, the setting was directing calls to my laptop and if busy, to my cellphone (NA#). Once I shut CallForwarding off, I seem to be back to normal. I'll follow up if the problem returns.

Are you able to make outbound calls? Does this happen on all incoming calls? Both PSTN and
Vonage
? when you pick up, is it dead air or the call actually hangs up?

It's hit and miss about 10% of my calls go through. Both incomming and outgoing ring ..... but go dead when answered by me or by the person i'm calling. I've done a full reset of my
Vonage
adapters, and rerouted the network access outside the firewall. Nothing is helping. At this point we gave up and are having our calls forwarded through antoher provider. I'm also having our numbers ported away from
Vonage
.
Our business should not have been this affected by a storm that was over a thousand miles away.
