My VT2542 had no dial tone so I power cycled it and then wasn't able to get into the web interface due to invalid user/password. It was reset to the defaults, after loging on I saw that everything was reset to defaults and my phone number is not provisioned on the device... Has anyone else experienced this or is it just a fluke on my end?

My phone hasn't been able to register to the Vonage network for over an hour. I can access the router. I've reset the router (2442) several times and even went through the shut down/restart procedure with everything. I'm guessing they're having some issues.

My phone apparently resets or something like it 2-4 times a week. Today, it was wroking fine, then about 30 minutes later I noticed that the little blue light saying my phone was connected wasnt' on. When I picked up the phone it said - your phone is not connected to Vonage. So, shut down EVERYTHING- cable modem, SMC router, Linksys RTP300 Router, and computer. Plugged in everything according to the instructions on the Vonage webpage and voila-
no phone service.

First of all- Why does this happen to me so frequently
Secondly- How do I stop it??/

Well, I guess that makes me feel a bit better then. I've been getting the "This telephone line is unable to register to the Vonage network" all night with a nice red LED on my 2142. Now it's flashing green again... but never going steady. Oh well, at least I don't have to spend the night rebooting everything.

You mean your phone restarts by itself? I didn't redo things Wed night when it happened, forgot to reset them on Thurs morning like I meant to.. realized I had forgotten when hubby called home to leave a voicemail for himself and got my cell (autoforward).

So, needless to say I rebooted Thurs night.. and I've been rebooting since 5pm today...

I also had the red light, then blinking green and now solid green but phone cant register with Vonage. I tried calling their tech support but their phone has been busy for the last 45 minutes. I am guessing its on their end, I am still trying to understand why my router reset to all defaults. Could it be that they performed a firmware upgrade that went bad for most of us?

We made a call about 6:30 EST, so I'm guessing it went out about 6:40-6:45. As of 8:35 it's back on now with a dial tone.
