Over the last six months I've been experiencing loss of dial tone and dropped calls. Dial tone is generally restored when adapter is rebooted. Dropped calls generally happen on longer calls - infrequent but often enough to be aggravating. I've tried to move out of Vonage because of these issues, but would like to stay. Would appreciate any help.

Ran the Voip test, here are results (obviously looks fine now as I'm not experience any problems at the moment)

I agree, your results look fine now. Try to get a set of test results when you're having a phone problem.
Does your cable also provide television service? If so, do you sporadic periods when reception is poor? |

Cable television service is fine. I actually have another phone line over the same cable from the cable co. and that line has no problems at all.
What is the explanation for the periodic dial tone loss? i.e. Vonage adapter acting up. Which usually gets resolved with a reboot. |

Good question. Your test results look good, your cable sounds as if it's working fine, and your phone from the cable company works well. Given all that, I would guess that an intermittent with the cable is unlikely, so perhps your RT31P2 getting flaky. With no evidence against the cable, the RT sounds like the culprit, but that's just a guess. |
