I noticed for the wireless callers to my house the name doesn't display it just says "wireless" and it didn't do this before on Verizon. I also called the Vonage's competition and they say they don't have this problem. I think this is false advertising if you say Caller ID in your advertising you should warn customers that wireless info will not come up. This might be small thing for some of you, 9 times out of 10 the people calling my house is wireless, and i never get any info but the phone number. If you ask me this is a deal breaker when other Voip companies have these features. I also created a ticket 16103652 and 16104278 one of them is regarding this issue, can't remember which, I always have some issues with Vonage!
P.S. Anybody want to comment on the billing info being down for 2 weeks!!!! |

Just curious, what do other carriers display? When I had a POTs line, it displayed Wireless carrier and number only too. |

For my Verizon when i had the local telcos, it would say the name of the person calling and the phone number e.g. Joe Blow 909-999-9999 now it just says Wireless Caller 909-999-9999
I called Packet8 and they don't have this issue, i'm thinking of switching when my free trial ends.... |

The way around this in Sunrocket was that you had a personal directory where you could add names and numbers. If you added anyone with a mobile number, the name would show up in caller id (no name appeared if you hadn't enterred a name for the mobile number). I really miss this ability in Vonage because I too receive most of my calls from mobile phones and I don't have the numbers memorized.
