I used Vonage for a year now, was pretty happy with it. All of a sudden, incoming calls didn't come through to me but to a different mailbox, which strangely announced my phone number. Outgoing worked fine. So i called Vonage. After only three minutes, i got one of those high qualified technicians reading a script. After beeing through this, i was promised a call-back. Nobody called. Three hours later i called again and got instantly some guy who had more brain. He figured out that Vonage ported my phone number out.... Why, you ask ? Somebody asked for this number and got it, Vonage just released the number..... The technician promised me to get the number back in 24 hours. I also contacted the new "owner" of the number and she was willing to release the number, also. 24 hours later, i was not only unable to receive calls, i was also unable to do outgoing calls. Customer service acknowledged that my account is cancelled, "because i ported out my number". The ticket, which should have resolved this, was closed, because... guess it... "the account was cancelled". Now, i have a new phone number and a new provider... Sorry Vonage, your service is incredible. |

Incredible.... Hopefully your new provider will give you the service we have all come to expect and pay for. Good luck...... |

Not only that, but who's to say they won't do this to any one of us? I mean, if it was that easy, anyone can literally cancel our accounts... Hmmm..... |
