Phone light not lit on Motorola 2142

Twice in the last several days, the phone 1 light (the port I am connected on) on the VT214-vd has gone out, but the Vonage service still works fine. After powering down and then powering up the lght will go on.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure about the VT2142, but this is a constant issue with the VT2442. It's a known firmware bug. It's irritating but it doesn't hurt anything.

Ditto on my 2442. Mine only started dropping the light in the past few weeks, though. Before that, it was fine.

It seemed to coincide with when I stopped using our old fashioned table-top answering machine, and started using Vonage voicemail instead.

Maybe it's related to the "new voicemail" signaling.

This also occurs on my Motorola 2542. However if I power it down and back up again, I lose all the wireless security settings... but the phone 1 light comes back on. Confused

I lose my port forwarding setings on my 2142 when powered down .
