Twice in the last several days, the phone 1 light (the port I am connected on) on the VT214-vd has gone out, but the Vonage service still works fine. After powering down and then powering up the lght will go on.
Any thoughts? |

I'm not sure about the VT2142, but this is a constant issue with the VT2442. It's a known firmware bug. It's irritating but it doesn't hurt anything. |

Ditto on my 2442. Mine only started dropping the light in the past few weeks, though. Before that, it was fine.
It seemed to coincide with when I stopped using our old fashioned table-top answering machine, and started using Vonage voicemail instead.
Maybe it's related to the "new voicemail" signaling. |

This also occurs on my Motorola 2542. However if I power it down and back up again, I lose all the wireless security settings... but the phone 1 light comes back on. |
