Hard Resetting V-tech Model#IP 8100-1 ( Urgent )

Hello everyone

i once again come here to seek yall help just like the last time i was here for... and my Voip isnt connecting and the light turn yellow and keeps Blinking with no connection. someone from my family messed up the settings and i even tried the RESET button beside the power socket but no use same thing yellow light blinks i can connect to internet using direct cable hooked up to my pc
but if i connect it thro the router it keeps glowing yellow and no sign of connection i cant even acess internet .

so if there is a Hard reset method or hard resetting procedure please help me out asap. i am sitting here waiting for a single usefull reply.

Make sure you are plugging your cable modem into the Internet slot, not the Ethernet slot. Unplug both your modem and your IP-8100. Wait 2 min. Plug your modem back in, wait until it completely boots up, then plug in your Vonage device.

Well i did the reset by holding it for 2 mins and i got it worked a guy from sales department of my ISP fu**ed it up so had to reset it and thanks for your help Frus Smile

You are very welcome. I am glad you got it working. For future reference, something that could save you time... If you do a hard reset you only have to hold the button in for 30 seconds....

Thank you VoipFrus and ZODI for your reset button suggestion. I had no idea there was such a thing. I've been without my service for 2 days and decided to try troubleshooting using the forum. I was sssoooo HAPPY to find this posting. BTW...it worked! Lol
