If a call comes in while a call is in progress, the in-progress call drops....every time.

The Vonage box preceeds a Linksys router in my setup.

I welcome all tips on how I might fix this.

I will run a check tonight. I'm on comcast. I routinely get between 260 and 300 kbps down, not sure of the upstream rate.

Spoke with a Vonage technician last night. We had some success by removing a 900 mghz cordless phone from the mix and using a rather old standard phone...but this would be a serious compromise if this is the only solution that works.

that's interesting. I wonder if it could be the voltage. I had an issue with my cordless phone where it would only beep once or twice instead of ring. and the caller id would only flash for a second or two. once the Vonage tech adjusted my voltage on the device (linksys RT31P2) to send more power to the phone it worked perfectly.

I have an issue where if I'm on a call, receive a call-waiting call, switch over to the new call to talk, then come back to the original call, the person cannot hear me. I can hear them, but they are unable to hear me at all. So I can switch between original and new call without issue, but when I go back to the original caller, they can't hear me any longer.

I had an issue before the firmware upgrade where if a call-waiting call beeped in, then immediately the original caller could no longer hear me. After the firmware upgrade, that issue went away, but now if I switch over and back, the call is basically lost.

Anyone seen this?
