Hi
I don't know how to fax from my Mac via Vonage. I know it is possible because people have done it. I just don't know which cable should be plugged where and how to configure my Mac. Somebody help me please!!! |

There are two ways.
1. If you need both incoming as well as outgoing faxes, you need Vonage's extra fax line ($9.99 in the US).
2. If you only require outgoing faxes, you don't need an extra fax line, you can use Vonage's free outgoing fax service here:
[web]https://v-fax.vonage.com/[/web]
1. To use v-fax, log onto the site and follow the instructions.
2. To send a fax using a dedicated fax number, you must connect either a fax machine or a mac directly through to the second telephone port on your Vonage adapter. To connect a modern mac, you need a usb modem, available at Apple or Amazon or equivalent store.
3. To send a fax using a fax machine, is the same as for any office.
4. To send using a mac, use the printer dialog box (this is for Mac OS/X Tiger or Leopard). Click and hold pdf (bottom left of the printer dialog box), then select Fax PDF. It will ask for your recipient's phone number and will fax a pdf copy of the document. |
