Okay we called and they made some adjustments, the dial tone delay is better, but still having issues with upload activity. One thig that is wierd, if I try to software throttle the upload speed in my FTP, the quality for the phone is terrible, it is better if I leave it wide open but still impacts the call. Not sure what to do now...
Oh yeah, it still loosing setting on a power down too and i have the most current firmware |

I cannot help you with the uploads problems but for the loss of settings after a reboot/power cycle, that is a known firmware glitch. Look on this forum and search for VT2542. There are numerous threads about this problem. Someone suggested that keeping the default user name and password at router will prevent some of the loss.
Vonage has known about this problem since July and keep saying they are working on it. There are some posts that say a new firmware will be released soon but no one seems to know when.
Good luck |

After months of messing with this, I concluded that the v2542 is just plain garbage. I picked up a used Linksys WRT-300n and loaded a third party firmware on it DD-WRT and put the v2542 behind the Linksys. I configued the QOS on the DD-WRT and now the setup is FLAWLESS... The only thing the crap v2542 is doing is acting as the Vonage device. I can cue a FTP upload while on a call and DD-WRT throttles back the FTP PERFECT, as soon as you hang up, speeds go right back up. Why the hell nobody could get this right????
