Is it possible to make vonage work through a network login screen?
I have access to the internet through a school network login screen (not dsl/cable).....It has been confirmed that it's not PPPOE...
What else can it be? I have to use a name/password to logon to the school network, and then my internet works.
thanks |

It's probably either a proxy or captive portal. No Vonage device will provide credentials to authenticate to either of those in order to gain access to the Internet. You'll have to do it manually through a web browser, then Vonage will work. |

I can try. I'm not sure of your specific setup, but I'm going to make an assumption that your in a dorm room with an ethernet jack. In that case, I would connect my Vonage ATA's WAN port to the ethernet jack, then connect my PC to one of its LAN ports. Then try to access the Internet on the PC and provide the credentials to logon to your school's network.
After that Vonage should work. |

One thing that you may try to use is the vonage v-phone. I am sure that one will work. |
