Softphone on a corporate network

I am unable to login to softphone while within my corporate network. Has anyone had this issue and if so, does anyone know if a resolution that doesn't involve the IT department?

If ur on a corporate LAN, then more than likely u r behind a firewall. If the XPro Softphone is unable to connect to our SIP proxy, it usually gives u a specific error message. On most home level firewalls, the softphone will try to determine what type of firewall it is & auto-configure itself to get thru it. But on a corporate LAN you may have to talk to ur IT department to see if they can initiate Port Forwarding in the firewall. You must always specify two port ranges to be opened:
5060 – 5061 (UDP)
10000 – 20000 (UDP)
These ports should be forwarded to the IP address of your Digital Phone Adapter.
