Hello I am still having a problem getting incoming calls... it has been 3 days now and nothing. I have np with outgoing... I have so far turned off all firewalls to see if that was the case. Not it, I am not using another router along with my 2442 router that Vonage has sent. I am out of answers, I guess it could be a router problem. ANy other ideas??
Thanks

Aaron,
Can you provide more details as to exactly what you mean by No incoming calls?
More specifically, what is happening when you call your own number?
Are you new to Vonage or did this just start happening?
Make sure to also turn off all call forwarding options as well
Have you talked to Vonage support yet about this issue? |

Yes I have talked with CS about this issue. On Monday I was told there was an outage in the Indiana area so they thought maybe it had spread to the Wisconsin area. I also put in an email yesterday and got a normal we understand the problem...we are working on it. Basically what happens when I call my number I get no voicemail, it just keeps ringing and ringing. I called it from my cell and if I pick up while it is ringing on my cell I get a dial tone on my Vonage line. I have tried turning off all of my firewall's. I am able to make outgoing without a problem is just the incoming and lake of voicemail that is happening. I have call forwarding turned off.
Could it be the adapter? I am a new customer to Vonage. Thanks Aaron |

OK thanks for the info. Here is what you need to do....
Since you can make outbound calls and get dialtone on your device this means that your Vonage device has internet connectivity. This means that most likely, your issue is not related to your local network setup.
Since incoming is not going to voicemail and just rings its sounds like a Number porting issue. If you chose to port your number it may be in a transition phase right now so I would contact the LNP department at Vonage to see what your status is. If Vonage has transferred your number, but your local phone company hasnt fully let it go from their switches, local callers could hit a dead end when they dial your number.
I would highly recommend calling into technical support. You should be able to get to tier 2 and get this resolved. Just keep in mind what you already know and inform them of any troubleshooting you have already done. |

Eh, you don't need Tier 2, and capable Tier 1 agent would be able to see what is going on. I'm pretty sure I know myself without even looking at the account info. Your phone is still plugged into the wall, probably. Take it out of the wall and plug it directly into phone 1 on the Vonage device. Call the number and it will probably ring.
Oh, if the voicemail is enabled and you're saying it's not going to voicemail and the phone is connected to the Vonage device, then that may be a different scenario. If you are porting a number over and it has not completed, you have a temporary virtual number and you have to call that number until the number finishes the porting process. You can log into your online account to find out the temp number. |
