If you already have Vonage and you call and ask to talk to an Account Manager, they are authorized to switch your account from the Unlimited 24.99 account to an unlimited 19.99 account.

No other changes are made. Online, it shows your billing plan as "$19.99 Unlimited 12 Months Step Up Plan."

I called Vonage Canada and the best deal I could get was $15.99 500 minutes or $31.99 for unlimited and that was because I have been with them for 1 year. On my account it is stated as Canadian Employee Unlimited Plan.

I was paying $39.99, $8.00 off is better than nothing considering my cable company wants $44.99 a month with have the options of Vonage.

If you try harder, you may be able to get the unlimited plan for $14.99. I was able to get that rate a little less than a month ago.

yes but you are using Vonage from the states, that plan is cheaper than Canada.

U.S.A $24.99 unlimited
Canada $39.99 unlimited

Now paying $31.99

Cable company around $44.99, other Voip company wants $29.99, I have to buy another adapter (not wireless) and don't have the features that I like (Vonage Talk), local access numbers, free calling to certain numbers outside of NA, and V-Me.

I had no intention on switching just wanted a better price.

So all I have to do is call account management and ask for the lower rate? I guess what I am asking is how do I go about this?

How long have you been using Vonage?

I have been using it for 1 year, so I was free to go to another company without any penalties so they offered me a discounted rate to keep me as a customer.

Just call the number and get connected to billing.

I have been a customer since 2005 but new to this forum. I did not know you can get reduced rates. I just received new equipment because my Linksys WRTP54G died. After doing some research, I found this forum and realized that it was the firmware and not my equipment. But I now have a Motorola VT2542 and love it so it turned out for the best.

Now if I can call to reduce my rate, that would be awesome. Should I call billing or account management?

Not sure what it says in the U.S. but here in Canada billing and account management is the same option, once there I pressed the option to cancel my account.
