Post subject: VT 8100 Problems
Is there a way to bring a VT8100 back to life? Between my daughter and I we have had three of these fail in three months. The symptom is always the same: The power adapter outputs 5.2 VDC, The adapter will not reset, There is no link light on the ethernet port, the hand sets show they are connected to the adapter. My VT8100 is plugged into a filtered power strip which is plugged into a UPS.
Any advice on this is greatly appreciated. I am going to buy a Linksys adapter and a new phone this morning.
Vonage
has told me they will reimberse me for the adapter. Now I have a VT8100 and two handsets that are basically usless.
Thanks,
Floyd

there were several lots of defective power adapters put out by VTech,
Vonage
can send you a power adapter replacement without charge, one can also be purchased retail if you shop around hard enough
