My call activity also displays numbers with 1 in front of them as well butI thought that was normal for Vonage. My phone only shows up as XXX-XXXX when my family calls though because I set the area code on the phone to the one I registered with Vonage with. |

I am confused - reebok you do NOT get preceding 1+AC on your CID box? - I was understanding everyone got it. Maybe I am wrong.
I once though I was wrong but I was mistaken. |

I have been getting an extra 1 preceeding the area code since day one. I spoke to Vonage and Everyone with Vonage gets 1+AC transmitted. Some phones and caller ID units are able to reject this and some are configurable to be programmed with a local area code in order to reject the "1".
Unfortunately, my called ID box has no such features and always displays a precceding "1" before the area code. |

I have two lines with Vonage. 1line i've had for years with the motorola 1000 ATA, this one does not get a 1 in front of the area code. My second line has the RPT 300 and all calls come with a 1 in front. I have a 2-line phone with both lines connected to it if a get a call on line one it doesn't have a 1, if I get a call on line 2 it does! So it has nothing to do with the phone or even Vonage for that matter, its the ATA and how it is configured. |
