Sorry if this isn't that clear, but i'm a newbie and don't quite know the network terminology?
My school has recently started using a password/login process to gain access to the internet.
If i plug my comp. directly into the ethernet port I get the login screen, but not through my WRTP54G router.... so the phone doesn't work either for some reason.
Are there any settings I can change, and can someone please walk me through it?
thanks for the help |

You would probably find a lot better help by talking with your school's networking dept. I don't think anyone here can guess what your school is using to allow you access to the net. Most routers have a place for a password and username if you are using ppoe to access the net. It's most commonly used for DSL connections though. |

This sounds like the way we've been used to for logging on a Vonage device at a hotel or internet cafe, but damned if I can remember how to do it. I would do a search here and see what you can find. |

try changing your vonage device to pppoe and put your username and password from the school in the user/pass setting |

Try just searching for "hotel connection problems." |
