Every time VG issues a press release, it is posted in the "Vonage In The News" section within seconds! Either Dan sits on the VG website all day hitting "refresh" or someone at VG is feeding him these releases.

Also, ever notice how none of the "Vonage In The News" stories are ever bad?

While I'm not one for tinfoil hats and conspiracies, that one does make me do a double-take once in awhile. What this place's relationship to Vonage truly is only known to itself and Vonage.

It is called "Scraping"; a simple PHP script that runs server side every 15 minutes as a cron job that auto pings, scraps and posts the Vonage Corp press releases.

All of this would be easier if Vonage had an RSS feed, but they do not.

If you can get me copyrights of any other news source, I would be happy to post them also.

Dan

Such eloquent wisdom has no doubt chiefly impeached our collaborationist and surely undermines the true nature of his relationship with Vonage.

Hey David, it truly is nothing more than this: This Site is exclusively owned & operated by 4Sight Media LLC & is no way endorsed, sponsored, provided, owned or otherwise controlled by Vonage. For official information on Vonage Services please proceed to the Vonage website at: www.vonage.com

Okay DigitalVoice, I had to Google/Wiki Collaborationism. And by that respected description, and assuming that the enemys are all Local Exchange Companies; then yes, I am a "Collaborationist". If your assumptions are not the same as mine, then I must disagree with you.

3 months without a daily Vonage forum update on the front page (they used to be daily, then every other day, then weekly, then poof... gone!)

Even the automated screen scrape of the Vonage Press Room has stopped...

Has Vonage stopped subsidizing this site? With the stock trading at around $0.75/share and VG's market cap reduced to a mere $115M, I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to cut costs everywhere.

Hey Dan, this site is filled with helpful information for those of us interested in optimizing our Vonage service and for the most part has very helpful members.

There are a few who are not so helpful. Smile

I shake my head in complete amazement that anyone would believe this site is subsidized by Vonage, when attacks on Vonage, the site administrator, and other posters are allowed to persist here.

If this were a Vonage site, only positive posts would be allowed, and the site would be much less useful.

Thanks Dan for running a great, independent site!

Hey Dan,
So how about it? Is this site destined to die? Or has you life changed in some other way that prevents you from actively monitoring and using it?

For example your last post in the forums appears to be

Answering a question about rotary dialing.

Whats the story? Inquiring minds want to know.
