Whenever I call out my called party always receives my location and phone#, not name. Is there something wrong here? Surely Vonage provides caller id outbound with name.

Probably true. But there are others (including myself) that actually prefer it that way. The world has stripped us of 99% of our privacy, so any remaining anonymity, no matter how small, is sometimes quite welcome.
I understand wanting the privacy, but that is why most Voip providers have outbound blocking of name a/o number. Interesting aspect of something that should be a given, with Vonage the leader in Voip.

True, but if too much is blocked, you won't get past the Anon Call Block users. As long as my number is exposed, my call is not blocked. If I happen to dial a wrong number, the receiving party won't know who I am so my privacy is maintained, to some degree.
Not a perfect solution, but I really do like it this way. (I only speak for myself.)
