1. Flint, MI

2. Comcast Cable

3. 3.32 Mbps, 972Mbps

4. Linksys (Model #BEFCMU10 BER.4)

5. Motorola VT2442

6. Right now it is Modem -> Wireless Router -> Adapter, but I have also tried switching the router and adapter.

7. No dial tone, cannot receive incoming calls, cannot make outgoing calls, the incoming calls go straight to our voicemail instead, cannot login to router page, phone light is blinking green instead of staying steady.

Customer Service is not helping with the issue at all. They just keep suggesting the same things over and over again, and they all do nothing. Would appreciate some help here since I am at a loss.

Well your test results are not good. Your packet loss is 100% and the average round trip time is horrible. What was the configuration when you ran this test? Have you tried running the test with no routers between your cable modem and computer? I would suggest that first. Run a test with just your modem connected via ethernet to a computer. See if the results improve dramatically. If not, try another ethernet cable and run the test again. If you still have bad results, the problem is with your ISP and not Vonage.

When I ran the test the configuration was Modem -> Router -> Adapter. I will run the tests again tonight with your suggestions and post them.

If the results improve with just your modem, then test with just your modem and router and see what you get. Try to pinpoint the device that is giving you bad test results. You may find that the results are only bad with the adapter in your network, then you know it is a bad device.

What about the modem to computer only without any routers in between? You need to see what your results are without any equipment between your modem and computer to be able to compare.
