I picked up my phone this morning and I got a fast beeping like a phone off the hook. If I unplug my Vonage and connect to the phone quickly, I can place one call, but if I hang up I get the beeping sound again. I tried the steps the tech suggested (unplugging then hard rebooting, then moving the phone line from the wall outlet to the back of the adapter) none of them worked.

Does the beeping go away after a couple of seconds? When you have a new voice-mail, you will get a stutter-tone when you pick up the phone...is this what you are referring too?
