Arrrgh!!
Another problem...
I'm not allowed to go into Port Forwarding until first going thru LAN Clients...I wasn't prepared for this, just trying to follow the Port Forwarding directions...it asks for:
"To reserve a LAN IP address, enter the reserved IP address, hostname, and MAC address, then select Apply."
Anyone? |

Well, that stinks. But just do what it says. Get that info by typing ipconfig -all on the command prompt. (Start > Run > CMD). That would mean you need to set the computer to DHCP instead of Static as it would seem to me that the LAN Client part is for static DHCP. |

Well, thanks guys.
Scott, I think that sadly, this is the case for me. The problems just started happening overnight, after flawless use for years. I hadn't changed any settings whatsoever that might have triggered the problems, so I was really stumped.
Blackjack, thank you for all of your assistance...I did everything to the letter to forward the ports, and I thought that there'd be no more problems...but Shareaza still says I'm behind a firewall/router even after all of the configuring to allow everything to pass through.
I'm assuming this is indeed the RIAA. I really can't believe the internet providers can do this sort of thing legally. Not everything on P2P is illegal!
Again, thanks to all of you for your help, it was greatly appreciated. |
