An email to customer support regarding my experience today.

If you view the notes on my account, you can see that myself, and your level two tech's have made three attempts with three different VTech 8100 units. None of them worked, and I have returned all three units.

Here is an outline of my conversations today:

9am spoke with Irving, emp id # 56171

She said she was crediting the $31.55 from the 9-15 bill, because the cancellation, and the previous credit of $30.95 x 2 and shipping $8.94 x 2 as promised on 8-30 by June Sanchez were never done. She then transferred me to Art, who opened case # 14193543

937am - Second Rep - Art - e11346 - says I have to pay cancellation fee?? I explained that the service has not worked since JUNE!!!! and should not have to pay a cancellation fee. Especially, when I have had two reps( Irving, and June) tell me I would be receiving a credit. Art then transferred me to Rachel in account management, and I was disconnected.

No one made an attempt to call me back on the number that I provided, so I called back.

Spoke with Mark emp # 11395
After he spoke to his supervisor, he explained a $57.54 (credit conf # 57706238 - 2months service plus taxes) then sent me to account management for cancellation - it is now 1030.

Spoke with marney - # e10623 - again she tells me I have to pay a cancellation fee of $42.79(conf # 57710195) because of the user agreement. Doesn't your user agreement explain that you must provide reliable, usable service also??

So my account is cancelled, and I log in to view my statement. I see where you credited the $57.54, but then billed it back again???

This is an independently owned and operated forum. It is NOT an official Vonage site, so don't hold your breath waiting for a response because it will probably not be seen by anyone who can do anything about it. (with the exception of the occasional Vonage rep who comes to this forom on his/her free time)

I'm not so much worried about them seeing my post. Just want others to know about my experience. Needless to say, it's no wonder their stock price is below $2.00 down from over $8 a year ago, and their customer churn rate is up from 2006 also. Check out their 10q report for 2007. Their expenses are WAY higher than revenues. Just curious how long they can sustain the bleeding.
