Hi I will be moving to Switzerland for a year for work, will I be able to take my

No additional fees or such. Just take your box and plug it into a broadband connection. Obviously, the quality will depend on your ISP in Switzerland. I've been using
Vonage
outside the country for almost a year.

Also, make sure you update or disable your 911 address.

I have a friend who is in the US Navy and the phone moves wherever his family goes. He has a number in Ohio but it rings in Japan (for the next few years).
My next door neighbor went to work in France for three years and I convinced him to port to
Vonage
before he left so he could keep his number. Now his old number from South Carolina rings in France and no one is the wiser.
You will find many folks with
Vonage
all over the world in nearly every any country with Internet access. As long as you aren't in a country with a totalitarian regime that controls what goes across the network, it should work for you.
