My problem was a lil' different though. I didn't have disconnects during calls. I was getting kicked off the web (my cable modem would lose connection) every 10 minutes and/or whenever I would download large files....

My router randomly disconnects as well, about once a day though, but it's been becoming more frequent, I have SBC over PPPoE in CA... efficient modem, but I have a westell I can use, not to mention this has *NEVER* happened before with any other setup.

Sounds like I'll just be using it behind my g4 acting as a router again *sigh*

Mine came with 1.26.01 (rt31p2 of course), when the PPPoE drops out, the router will complain about LCP errors until I unplug the modem from the router, and plug it back in. After it "resets", all is well, for a while, and then it happens all over again.

My router keeps disconnecting my internet connection; this happens several times a day. I have the Linksys RT31P2 with Firmware Version: 1.26.01. Any suggestions?

see if Vonage can push ya the firmware update and then after ya get it make sure voice QOS is set to 512. This should solve your problems. cheers!

I followed markwi's advice and for 24 hours it has stopped the router reboots.

Hard to believe Vonage techs have never heard of the problem...it's not at all uncommon here.

I have the same exact problem. My router will disconnect and then reconnect, at total random times.

Although it's not VERY frequent, I do get at least 1 quick disconnect/reconnect a day.

I have the RT31P2 model with Firmware Version: 1.27.01.

I would like to get this issue cleared up as soon as possible, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

did you set qos to 512? that seems to be one solution.

Tried 512 and mine still dies... though it reset itself (after all those RESET EVERYTHING!!!!one!!!eleventybillion!!! posts I took as advice) -- so I'll try again Rolling Eyes

I thought QoS 512 setting might have solved the reboots, but it seems like they stopped for no reason at all. I've changed it to 512, 384, 96 and disabled and the rebooting is gone with any setting.

I changed mine to 512 and I've only had one disconnect, but that could have been due to something else. So far TODAY, I haven't had one to my knowledge, but I'll keep a close eye on it and report back it anything new pops up.
