yep you are correct last poster boy on this issue. I had two WRT54GP2's and both junk, air noise and reboot outta the blue whenever. Vonage sent me a RT31P2 and same thing. Im returning it and now using my Motorola that I started with...only cause I bought a retail WRT54GP2 after getting the Moto from Vonage at set up. Wouldnt ya think Linksys would just recall em and scrap the junk. Vonage needs to rethink equipment real quick if they expect to grow. Its garbage out and garbage in policy as of late is "bad business".

Carrying it one step further I have to question a company who whould base their business model on Linksys anything.
Linksys makes toy hardware. It makes no difference that Cisco owns them the Linksys brand of hardware is not quality. Cheap yes, quality no.
Just my two cents.

Yes, that nice hack trick hopefully will workl. However, I would think I wouldn't have to result to something like this to get a service I pay for to work properly Sad I think its quite disappointing that Vonage isn't all over this issue.

It works very well! It removed all the "air" from my connection. But I agree I wish it would have worked right when it was first setup.

I must've gotten extremely lucky with my Linksys adapter. I have a Linksys wireless router that I connected it to...my computer, PS2, and Vonage all work simultaneously. I can be on the net, downloading a CD, playing Madden 05, and talking to my friend in Ohio simultaneously with no lag on the game, and no sound quality issues at all while talking to my friend. The only problem I had was the initial set up, I had the right idea about how the wires were supposed to connect, but I mixed up two wires (internet to port 1, was supposed to be port 1 to internet). No issues whatsoever. =)

No issues with customer support either. Everytime I've needed them, they've responded quickly with effective answers. Never called though, never had the need to. Even this website, mods and "normal people" have been ultra-effective. Very good experience with Vonage so far.

I am able to download files, browse, place Daoc (online mmorpg) and talk perfectly at the same time as long as I dont raise my upstream qos above 70.

I have had good luck with support as long as I call late at night or early in the morning. Overall Im extremely happy with my setup.
