I am on Windstream 3meg, regularly hit 2600kbps down and 322kbps up. When I am on a Vonage call and my home phone rings, the Vonage line goes dead and internet connection on my computer hesitates for several seconds. I know that the lines coming to my home office are twisted together and taped. My Vonage modem is plugged into my linksys router which is plugged into my Speedstream modem and then into my house telephone jack. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |

First unplug the Vonage adapter from the home phone wiring jack. Plug a phone directly into the Vonage adapter and see if the problem repeats with that configuration.
What kind of broadband service do you have? |

My phone is plugged directly into the Vonage port #1 device. My Vonage DLS connection is to my Speedstream modem and the speedstream modem is the device that goes into my home wiring wall jack.
FYI: hellova game yall had last week I have to say, even as a Bulldog fan born and raised in Athens |

OK, now I understand. The DSL is on the house wiring, but the phone output of the Vonage box goes right to the phone and doesn't use the house wiring at all. Is that correct? I saw in the Voip forum that you were sent here, but it actually doesn't sound like a house wiring problem if the Vonage phone output isn't connected to the house wiring. Not that it matters.
Is your computer connected directly to the Linksys router, or does it get its service through the Vonage device? Which Vonage device is it? If you plug the computer directly into the Linksys (if it isn't already), do you still get a hesitation in internet service when the phone rings? How about if the computer is plugged directly into the modem?

Thanks. I must admit that I don't pay much attention to sports unless the sport involves big engines in small, open wheel cars. |

Same thing here.
The phone rings, and when I answer it, the internet dies for several seconds. This disconnects the internet as well as the phone call.
I am on Comcast 10Meg down cable and I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2-port Voip Vonage Router. Firmware Version: 1.00.62. |

Acidbox, you'll probably get better response to this question if you post it in the Voip forum. Be sure to include all the technical information listed in the sticky message at the top of the forum.
Meanwhile, is there a cordless phone involved in this setup? 2.4 GHz cordless phones can cause problems with wireless routers. |

I have a Uniden 5.8Ghz cordless phone that is docked about 4 feet away from my wirelss router. Do you think this plays an issue? Honestly I've had this service for over a year and I can only recall that it has started doing it over the past 2 months. I haven't changed phones or anything =/ |

No, a 5.8 GHz phone shouldn't cause the problem. See you over in the other forum. |
