Hi all. I'm finishing my basement, and wanted to run another phone jack down there. I'm familiar with the traditional way of wiring a new jack into the NID box outside. But when i go out there now, it looks like all the wires that were hooked up under the "traditioal phone company way" are cut. So, if I have an outlet ready to go, how do I hook it up to the NID outside? Or where do I hook them up? All I know is I have an end of a CAT 5 wire with nowhere to go!! Thanks!!

You can chain it off of another jack if you want. It doesn't necessarily have to be hooked to the NID. It just has to have wires connected that reach the jack the Vonage adapter is hooked to.
