Vonage outage. I haven't been getting incoming calls since before noon today. The person calling only gets a busy signal. No voicemail, no message nada. I am in SE PA bordering Jersey. I calloed customer service and they told me it was a system issue they were dealing with and would get service back asap. NOTHING IS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE ABOUT THIS OUTAGE,
AND IT'S BEEN THIS WAY FOR 10 HOURS!!
WAKE UP Vonage! |

I talked to a Vonage customer service representative a short while ago (after 1/2 hour wait) and after rep. tried dialing my number, was informed that the incoming call problem was expected to take A MINIMUM OF 3 MORE HOURS to resolve. When I suggested at least posting current information on the website (hey, isn't it neat that you have to be a forum member to see the Vonage Service Status - having a Vonage account isn't sufficient), I was told that they expected the "No current service announcements" to be updated in "maybe 1 to 2 hours". |

Yes, they told me this is affecting the 215 and 610 area codes. Yes, it would be nice to not have to read it in a forum. I found the original post just as their offshore support answered my support call after a very long wait.
I told him it is posted in the forums, then he said "oh yes", and explained about the area codes...possibly he read the forums for answers:).
Take care,

I have been unable to receive calls since around noon today. I called for support and have been asked to unplug and replug the adapter and they even had the line changed to the second port on the adapter. I can make all calls and also receive calls from other Vonage lines but access from the real world is impossible, with callers getting only a busy signal. I know one other local user of Vonage with the same problem. It seems that their tech support doesn't understand the problem. It seems that it is either a switch problem or their main computer. I am surprised to see only a few other posts about the problem. genem@bee.net |

i'm in the same boat. since about noon yesterday it's been out. incoming calls get a busy signal.
it's early now, so i'm not going to test it to see if it's fixed (my wife's asleep and if it's working it'll wake her and my kid up probably). is this fixed for anyone yet? |
