I just got a new Panasonic KXTG5202 phone system and it comes with this CallerIQ service. According to advertising it allows you to download weather, sports, horoscopes, and other useless infromation to your phone (I guess this would be usefull without you know, the Internet). It also alows you to import contacts from outlok into your OpenLCR account and then download them into your phone (Sounds much more usefull and well worth the $5 they want for a single download). Has anyone used this service or have any information/opinions about it? Also, it sounds like from the companies FAQ that my new phone has a built in modem that is used to dial out and connect to the companies servers to download all this great information. ANyone know if I can hack this modem and use it to just dial into my own computer and download all the information I want for free? Thanx.
