thanks cargojack for correcting the link, and Darrell is correct about the contact list. I have over 30 contacts stored.

Just as a warning . . .
I installed the new software last night and today, without any input from me, I received a call which was automatically answered by the software and my conversation between myself and an associate in my office was transmitted to the calling party without my knowledge, over my headset microphone.
Until this "Auto-Answer" bug is straightened out, one should be careful that it does not load at Windows start-up.

That's weird because there is no "Auto Answer" feature with
Vonage
Talk...you have to accept or answer the incoming call. When I receive a call through
Vonage
Talk, if I don't answer it goes directly to my voicemail box. Do you have
Vonage
Talk installed on more than one system? What model headset are you using and does it come with software?

I know, it's the wierdest thing I ever experienced. With the prior version, 0.9.2, I never had this happen and it would go to voice mail.
It's installed on only one computer (laptop) and I'm using a generic Logitech headset plugged into the appropriate jacks.
It only happened once, but I think that, for now, I'll not have it load when Windows starts.

The reason I mentioned
Vonage
Fax is because
Vonage
Talk and
Vonage
fax are distributed from the same page and are similar, not officially released, beta type software.
It is ridiculous that my phone call contacts are not retained unless I log in as an IM user. I want
Vonage
Talk for making calls, not for IMing.

I don't think that anyone would care if you made a new topic to talk about
Vonage
Fax. I, for one, couldn't care less about it and if this topic were titled "Vfax" I would skip it. This topic is about V Talk. That's all.
And the way that V Talk does contacts is the way that it does contacts. They are going the way of convergence with this softphone and that's just the bottom line. I like convergence. I currently have to keep Pidgin, X-Lite and Skype all open at once. It would really be nice to do that from one single application.
If you simply want a softphone without all of the IM stuff get a softphone line. They are $10 a month with unlimited incoming and 500 out. With Simulring it would almost be the same as V Talk.
